For the first time ever, Classical:NEXT, the global networking and innovation hub for contemporary classical and art music professionals, will take place in Budapest, Hungary, from 8 to 11 April 2026. The event will be organized jointly by Hangvető and Müpa Budapest as part of the Bartók Spring International Arts Weeks.
Classical:NEXT brings together over 1,400 music professionals from more than 50 countries for a multi-day conference, expo, showcase concerts, project pitches, film programme, awards, and international networking. The event is a driving force in connecting forward-thinking artists, ensembles, institutions and industry figures across the classical music ecosystem.
Hangvető, in tandem with Bartók Spring is set to deliver a global event in the heart of the Central-European classical scene. The Budapest edition of Classical:NEXT offers a regional opportunity to connect to the innovative segments of classical life.

Launched in the spring of 2021, on the 140th anniversary of the birth of Béla Bartók, the world-famous Hungarian composer, the Bartók Spring International Arts Weeks is a unique event series dedicated to the arts.
